Novena To St. Jude

Oh Holy St. Jude, apostle and martyr, great in virtue and rich in miracles, near kinsman of Jesus Christ, faithful intercessor of all who invoke your special patronage in time of need, to you I have recourse from the depth of my heart and humbly beg to whom God has given such great power to come to my assistance.  Help me in my present and urgent petition, in return, I promise to make your name known, and cause you to be invoked.

Say three “Our Fathers”, three “Hail Marys” and “Glorios”.

Publication must be promised.  St. Jude pray for us and all who invoke your aid.

Amen.

Over 450 People Clothed & Fed Weekly

PassionWorks Volunteers Assist In Feeding & Clothing Over 450 People Weekly
In The Local Lakewood, New Jersey Community

PassionWorks volunteers, in conjunction with the Lakewood Christian Outreach Ministries Church, assists in feeding and clothing over 450 hungry and homeless people each week in the Lakewood, New Jersey town square.  This is a huge endeavor.  Please consider helping us!

PassionWorks is always in need of canned food and non-perishable food items, paper goods, baby diapers, feminine products, winter hats, gloves, coats, blankets, and tarps.

When our company started five years ago, there were only approximately 30 individuals and families living in tents in the woods, on the railroad tracks, and under the boardwalks of our beaches.  Today we are nearly at 100 people hungry and homeless just in our area alone!  And the number keeps growing.

These homeless folks are not “slackers”!  Many of them have jobs that pay minimum wage…some folks even make $20,000 plus dollars per year.  But our cost of housing here on the New Jersey Shore is astronomical, and more times than many, a single person and multi-children families cannot afford the rents to put a roof over their heads.  If they are among the lucky ones to be able to afford rent…then they most likely cannot afford untilities, insurance, transportation, food, and other basic needs to make a living.

Can you help?  If you can afford $1.00 or $5.00, please enclose it in an envelope and send it to PassionWorks, Inc., 452 East End Avenue, Brick, NJ 08723.  If you can afford more, then please send us a check for any amount made out to “PassionWorks, Inc”…OR…send us a supermarket gift card so we can purchase food for these people.  Either way, your gift is tax-deductible, and you will get a report showing how your money is being spent.
