A Tear Fell Today

A high school student attending my Contemplative Spirituality classes at our local church has been showing me the poems she’s written over the last year. This is a result of the class teaching teaching teenagers to journal their thoughts and prayers on a fairly regular basis. She’s written many. I happen to think she’s been doing a wonderful job with taking time to be still and write. She’s given me permission to post her writings. This will be the first of many…I hope!

A Tear Fell Today
I shed a tear today
Silently, I felt it fall
You caught it, shared it, held it, felt it,
Then suddenly, it wasn’t so big after all!
